We follow a three-phased approach:

1. Determine Priorities – Managing IT Systems for Decision Making

With technologies and companies regularly entering and exiting the industry, along with frequent new updates and offerings, understanding the right solutions can be a difficult task. We help you manage your technology stack by identifying and documenting requirements from all functional departments and priorities for effective decision making. To develop comprehensive IT strategies, we determine whether the current systems provide sufficient support. To do so, we:

  • Focus on Key Performance Metrics and determine how decisions are made to support these objectives
  • Identify current information and technological systems that support decision making and pinpoint the gaps impeding your efforts
  • Identify key business stakeholders to provide pertinent insights
  • Analyze the evaluation process results and determine the best approach to integrate this information into your strategic planning initiative

2. Benchmark Solutions, Systems, and IT Structures

We integrate business unit priorities and retailer benchmarking into the strategic plan to identify options and quantify/qualify their impact.

3. Develop Strategic Technology Plan

Throughout all phases of your IT Management Initiative, we work closely with your team to review information, alternatives and implications for your strategic direction. We ultimately develop a preferred plan and an alternative plan to present to your Senior Management or Board. Select actions will be integrated into the plan:

  • Align initiatives with business needs and, as a result, highlight any strategic technology gaps – provide a real world view of must haves, should haves and nice to haves
  • Integrate business unit priorities and retailer benchmarking into the strategic plan
  • Determine if existing proprietary systems should be replaced and in which priority
  • Manage Competing Priorities - Stop-Start-Continue Recommendations
  • Review each existing IT initiative in progress and validate their fit to purpose
  • Recommend a prioritization of the IT initiatives to ensure the most effective impact to the business
  • Implement Industry best practices in terms of technology and process
  • Provide an understanding of implications, timelines, budgets, resources, and potential ROI
